About Rob Grotsky

Robert Grotsky has been in the insurance business for 35 years and has been recognized for his achievements in the industry with many awards.

Grotsky started with John Hancock Life Insurance Company in 1983, spent six years there and was awarded the #1 salesperson for his office every year. He became a sales manager within three years of joining, was in the top 2% of sales managers in the company in production and achieved many awards along the way.

In 1990 Grotsky joined Nationwide Insurance Company as a Sales Manager and managed 36 brokers throughout the 5 boroughs of NY. He specialized in Real Estate, Construction and Personal Lines coverages. In this position he was in the top 1% of the highest producing managers in the company.

In 2000 he became a Sales Manager at Sterling & Sterling Insurance Company, a regional P&C broker.
Grotsky managed their sales force, increased sales by 42%, and built and managed an insurance wholesale division to provide Real Estate and Construction coverages to brokers countrywide.

In 2005 Grotsky joined SA Genatt, a global broker in business for over 60 years. He became a partner in 2013 and is also the COO of the company. He developed a specialized division for Construction and Real Estate for both direct clients and brokers countrywide to access. On a wholesale basis he provides insurance wholesale markets and products to brokers, from the smallest to the largest in the world.

In 2018 Grotsky and his partner merged their business with Acrisure, the ninth largest insurance brokerage in the country. The merger provided more exposure in the industry, writing insurance in all 52 states, Europe, and Asia. A large part of their success is due to establishing relationships with carriers that go beyond the desk underwriter’s office, dealing directly with senior managers up to the presidents to secure coverage for clients and brokers.
